Residents and businesses across Shannon are experiencing disruption to their water supply due to a burst on the mains.

Clare County Council is currently diverting water from an alternative source that mainly feeds into the industrial estates in order to restore supply .
However it warns it some areas on higher ground like Tullyvarraga may continue have a weakened supply.
Engineers say repairs on the bust mains are likely to take much of the day and people are urged to conserve as much water as possible
