The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has dipped slightly today, but remains high.
The latest INMO figures show 47 people were left waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figure is 21 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.
