A Dublin man who repeatedly struck an English motorist with a hurley stick in a road rage attack has been sentenced to 12 years for manslaughter.

49-year-old Raymond Bates died 4 days after Karl Donohoe of Bealing Village, Tyrellstown gave him a beating at Tritonville Road in Sandymount on the evening of September 26th 2010.
The final 2 years of the sentence have been suspended.
