106 Admitted Patients On Trolleys At UHL – INMO

Nurses say the number of patients waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital has exceeded 100 once again.

The latest trolleywatch analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 106 admitted patients on trolleys or chairs at University Hospital Limerick during morning rounds, with 36 of those in the ED.

The overall figure is 48 more than the next busiest facility; Cork University Hospital.

There were 599 patients waiting for beds at Irish hospitals this morning, according to the INMO figures.
