Futureproof Clare says an urgent attitude shift is needed from Government to treat the climate crisis as a ‘life and death’ issue.
It follows a report from the Climate Change Advisory Council, which found that Ireland’s climate resilience planning and preparation does not match the potential risks.

The climate watchdog is warning of growing risk to water supply, agriculture, and health systems, while highlighting deficiencies in the progress of major flood relief schemes across Ireland.
Futureproof Clare Spokesperson Dr Sinead Sheehan says action needs to be taken now to prevent these issues coming to light.
