Clare’s John Conlon admits it was an emotional moment to return to the starting line up after recovering from a serious hand injury.
The Clonlara man played the opening half of the Banner’s National Hurling League win over Down, in what was his first appearance of the season.

It came roughly six months after he suffered the injury in a freak accident, with fears the two time All Star may see his time on the playing fields ended.
Conlon says it was a special moment to be back in the county jersey.
