On Thursday’s Morning Focus, Alan was joined by Tony Shannon who previously featured on Morning Focus to speak about the initiatives he planned to undertake in an effort to raise funds for charity. Tony discussed the events he took part in which included the Sea to Summit challenge where he cycled 175 kilometres before climbing to the summit of Croagh Patrick. He also spoke about the auction of a prized limousin cross heifer at Ennis Mart. He expressed his delight with the success of the events which raised €26,550 for the charities of Slainte an Chláir and Cancer Care West. He also took a moment to thank everyone who helped in his quest to raise funds for the local charities mentioned and indicated that he will annually take part in initiatives to raise money for more charities.
