SIPTU To Hold Protest Outside University Hospital Limerick Today

A protest is to be held outside the region’s main hospital this morning, over what’s been described as a major insult by the Government.

SIPTU’s 5,000 members in the health sector were promised one thousand euro as a special Covid 19 recognition payment on behalf of the State, however the money hasn’t been paid.

The protest at University Hospital Limerick takes place at 11, with two more demonstrations outside the Nurses’ Home at Galway University Hospital and Beaumont Hospital in Dublin today.
