Morning Focus Tuesday December 18

On Tuesday’s Morning Focus John Cooke spoke with Marie Horgan, Sister of the late Sean Poland

It’s almost ten years since Sean Poland was shot dead at his home in Blackwater, Ardnacrusha, and to date no one has been held responsible for his killing
The 39 year old Car dealer answered his door shortly before midnight on New Years eve 2002 to be confronted by a gang of robbers who shot him and left him to die in his hallway before tying up his partner and stealing money from their home
There have been many arrests over the years and numerous garda appeals but no one has ever been charged with his murder – but tonight, the Sean Poland case will feature on the RTE Crimecall programme in a fresh bid by gardai to progress their cold case investigation
John spoke with Marie who told him that Christmas is always a difficult time for the family
A Crimecall Special appealing for information will be broadcast tonight
