On Mondays Morning Focus Marian was in studio for John she began the show by hearing reaction from Colm Collins and Enda Coughlan following a massive result for Clare Football yesterday, as they overcame Antrim in their final round game of their national football League division four campaign, securing promotion to the third tier – and progressing to a Division four final against Tipperary – the only side to beat them in the campaign – in three weeks time in Croke Park.
Up next The Bia Food Bank charity says it hopes to establish a number of food distribution hub's across the country in the future. The charity is due to establish the pilot scheme in an effort to help around 600-thousand people living in food poverty. The group is working with St Vincent dePaul in the programme which will see its first food distribution hub set up in Cork in June and another bank is planned for Dublin by the end of this year. Karen Horgan is Project Manager for BIA Food Bank; she says they are looking for charities in Clare to get in touch so food can possibly be supplied to the people of Clare. While the hub will be in Cork there is a possibility that food may be transported from Cork to Clare with some good will.
Today marks the 20th anniversary of the Rwandan genocide. Trócaire's Director, Eamonn Meehan, was in Rwanda during the genocide and was also in the country in late March 2014 in the build-up to the 20th anniversary. He spoke to Marian about what it was like in Rwanda during the genocide and how life there has changed in the years since.

A new strategy aimed at promoting, protecting and enhancing the biodiversity of Clare has identified how biodiversity can boost tourism, enhance the local environment, and assist organisations and individuals working in the area of conservation and heritage. Shane Casey is Clare Biodiversity Officer. He joined Marian in studio to discuss the plan.
