Morning Focus – Friday 16/02/18

All week on Morning Focus, Gavin has been giving away an overnight stay for two people in on of the O’Donoghue Ring Hotels at one of their Kerry Locations. The stay includes bead and breakfast as well as a three course meal.

At 9 am, Gavin spoke to TD Dr Michael Harty about Minister Simon Harris’ comments about the Ennis MAU and the launch of the NPF.

Next, Gavin spoke to Fianna Fáil Councillor Clare Colleran Molloy and Independent Councillor for West Clare, Ian Lynch, about the economy in county Clare.

Then, Conor Horgan, spokesperson for Irish Businesses Against Litter, spoke to Gavin about the drones and CCTV that are being used to combat illegal dumping throughout the country.

At 10 am, Gavin chats with the Corofin Drama Society who will be bringing their third adaptation of ‘Big Maggie’ to Glór on Sunday the 18th and Monday the 19th of February. Doors open at 8 pm and tickets start at 15 euro. Pam Blake, Maura Clancy, Eileen Lahiffe, and Mary Kelly joined Gavin in studio to talk about the play.

Afterwards, Gavin spoke to Siobhan Mulcahy, Clare county arts officer, about the upcoming events in the region.

Following that, Gavin chatted with Bosco about his show ‘Bosco meets Hansel and Gretel’ in Glór on the 17th of February.

At 11 am, Gavin began hosting the Friday Panel. This week’s panel was made up of, CEO of Bluebox charity and psychologist, Bernadette Kenny, Journalist for the Clare People, Ronan Judge, and Former CEO of Ennis Chamber, Doonbeg business woman, Rita McInerney.

They discussed the economy in Clare, Lent, the North, and digital age consent.
