Anger Over Lack Of Guidelines For Driving Instructors

A West Clare driving instructor has expressed anger over the lack of guidelines on how driving lessons can safely resume.

Driving instructors can return to work from Monday as part of phase three of the government’s roadmap for reopening the country.

But some have raised concern over the safety of this as social distancing cannot be maintained in a car.

The Road Safety Authority says that as they are independent operators, it’s up to driving instructors to ensure they are compliant with guidelines but Martin Murray says he’s not comfortable in returning to business until next month.
