There was double success for Clare at the hurling All Star awards in Dublin last night.
Clooney Quin’s Peter Duggan was named as right half forward on the team of the year, while Clonlara’s John Conlon took the full forward spot.
Duggan says it’s a nice way to end the year, after being knocked out of the championship following the All Ireland semi-final replay against Galway:
Conlon, meanwhile, says it makes it a year to remember in more ways than one – and that’s down to the Banner GAA fans:
Duggan and Conlon were among five of Clare’s beaten All Ireland semi-finalists to be nominated, along with Éire Óg’s Shane O’Donnell, Tulla’s David McInerney and Clonlara’s Colm Galvin.
