Clare joint hurling boss Gerry O’Connor says they knew their season was on the line ahead of their clash with Tipperary in the Munster Championship.
The Banner produced a storming performance in the closing stages to beat the Premier by 1-23 to 1-21 with that result guaranteeing Clare at least a preliminary All Ireland Quarter Final and ending Tipperary’s involvement for 2018.

The full time whistle marked the first time Clare have beaten Tipp in Semple Stadium in the championship for 90 years and sets up a winner takes all clash with Limerick next weekend for a place in the Munster Final.
