Limerick beat Tipperary in Munster semi final

The Limerick hurlers have beaten Tipperary by 1-18 to 1-15 at the Gaelic Grounds.

Seanie Tobin got the goal for the hosts in the first half and they led at half time.

A John O’Dwyer goal after the break helped Tipp into a 4 point lead.

Limerick rallied after that to claim a massive win and a place in the Munster Final.

In the earlier throw-in Offaly scored four goals against Kilkenny in their Leinster Championship quarterfinal,

but the All Ireland champions eventually won by 26 points to 4-9 in Tullamore.

The Faithful county led by a point at half time before the Cats stepped up a gear.

In football

Wexford upset Louth in Drogheda, winning 2-13 to 1-15 to go through to the last four of the Leinster championship.

They’ll play Meath or Wicklow.

14-man Monaghan overcame Antrim by 11 points to 6 at Casement Park to earn a place in the Ulster semifinals.
