Clare needed a win and came within minutes of it in Frank Healy Park on Saturday evening, but a last minute goal from Galway saw the sides equalize in the closing minutes.
Shane Keegan’s men were 2 nil down at half time but made a nail-biting comeback in the second half despite challenging weather conditions.

Goals by Conor Mullen followed by a Derek Fahy strike evened the score.
Close to the final minutes a Kieran Hackett goal saw the Clare men lead for the first time in the game.
However hopes were dashed when a goal by Galway saw the sides equalize yet again in the 95th minute.
Final score: Clare 3 – Galway 3.
