A member of the Clare minor hurling backroom team feels the squad deserve huge credit for their achievement of reaching the All Ireland final.
The county will feature in the final of this grade for the fifth time on Saturday evening, with titles coming back to the Banner in 1997 and 2023.
Waterford provide the opposition in FBD Semple Stadium, as the Deise bid for their fourth title and a first since 2013.
Clare coach Kevin McNamara says the whole county can be proud of what this group has already done this year.
Meanwhile Waterford boss James O’Connor says their previous meeting this year will count for little this weekend.
The Deise emerged six points winners when the sides clashed in the final round robin game of the Munster championship.
O’Connor says the improvements made by both sides since that evening makes this an entirely new contest
