A Clare pharmacist is calling for the age profile of the Free Contraception Scheme to be expanded.
It comes as the Minister for Health is bringing forward legislation to update the scheme, which will allow people aged between 17 and 35 to receive repeat contraception prescriptions directly from a pharmacist.

The move is part of the Government’s efforts to expand the role of pharmacists in the community while also easing pressure on GPs.
