Cloonmally, Kilbeacanty, Gort, Co. Galway and late of Coole, Gort. Peacefully, in her 91st year, surrounded by her loving family, on the 1st of November, 2022, in the tender care of the staff of The Corrib Ward, U.H.G.
Pre-deceased by her beloved husband Christy, grandson Baby David Mc Guane, parents Paddy & Nora Cahill, brothers Mick, Padraic & John, nephew Robert Cahill and by her niece Noreen Murphy.
Chris will forever be in the hearts of her loving family. Cherished and much loved mother of Liam, Mary, Patrick, Áine, Cyprian and Bernadette. Fondly remembered by her daughters-in-law Una, Marianne and Catherine, son-in-law James, Mary’s partner Willie, Bernie’s partner Steve and by her adored grandchildren Alan, William, Christopher, Declan, Enda, Tracy, Adrian, Megan, Christopher, Patrick, Sean, James, Christina, Eoin, Caoimhe, Brian, Shane and by her great grandchildren Keira and Liam. Sadly missed by her brothers Gerry, Joe and Aidan, sisters Pauline Lynch (Loughrea) & Eveyln Murphy (Monivea), sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, cousins, relatives, great neighbours, many friends and by the extended Fahey and Cahill families.

The funeral will take place in line with current government guidelines and restrictions to help prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Chris will lie in repose at St. Columba’s Church Kilbeacanty on Saturday November 5th from 3pm until 6pm, followed by evening prayers. Requiem Mass on Sunday November 6th at 2pm. Chris will then be laid to rest in Rakerin cemetery, alongside her beloved husband Christy. Flowers are welcome as Chris loved flowers or donations in her memory can be made to the Gort Day Care Centre. The Fahey and Cahill family’s deeply appreciate your kindness, loyalty, love and support at this time. We wish to thank all who cared for Chris over the years, Dr. Richard Joyce and the staff at Gort Medical Centre, all at Quinns Pharmacy, Mary Quigley U.H.G, her carers Maureen Cuffe and Louise Hayes, Gort Public Health Centre and the staff at U.H.G who were so kind to Chris in her final days. Finally a special word of thanks to our wonderful family, neighbours and friends for all they have done to help us in these difficult days.
