Pedestrian Crossing To Be Considered At Busy North Clare Thoroughfare

It’s claimed pedestrian access is urgently needed at a popular North Clare thoroughfare in order to ensure public safety.

It comes amid local concern over the high volume of motorists entering Corofin village, while cyclists, walkers and often parents with buggies have to navigate the roadway.

The local authority’s road’s design team has confirmed it will commence the process of a pedestrian crossing on Main Street, though the cessation of on-street parking would be required to facilitate pedestrian access.
