Clare is in for a wet start to the weekend.
Met Éireann has issued a yellow rain alert for the county, as well as the rest of Munster, Galway, Laois, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wicklow and Wexford.

Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast, with a risk of flooding and hazardous conditions.
The alert comes into effect at 3 o’clock tomorrow and remains in place until 11.30pm.
