A West Clare Principal believes an educational programme highlighting the dangers of vaping should be introduced in primary schools.
It comes ahead of a clampdown on the industry, which would see the introduction of new laws banning the advertisement of vapes behind shop counters and restrictions on the packages of vaping products.

The proposals also include a ban on any device which either resembles or functions as other products such as toys or games.
Principal Of St Joseph’s Community College in Kilkee, Agnes Hehir believes there has been a massive increase in vaping among teenagers and she believes education at a younger age is key to preventing this.
