A man has died following a farm accident in West Clare
It’s understood the man in his fifties was offloading slurry from a slurry tank at a farm in Labasheeda around 7 o’clock last night, when the tractor rolled back and knocked him into a slurry pit.

Emergency services were alerted by contractors working at the scene and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has been transferred to University Hospital Limerick where a post mortem examination is due to take place later today.
Two separate investigations into the incident have been launched by Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority.
