Water Safety Ireland is urging those who are enjoying a coastal walk this Bank Holiday Monday to be mindful of the risk of stranding due to high tides.
A new moon today is bringing with it changing tides, which can catch people be surprise.

Shore walkers are being warned to stay away from the edge, while beach walkers risk being stranded by fast moving tidal waters and should always carry a mobile phone.
