Ulster Bank’s owner NatWest is reportedly considering winding down the lender’s operations in the Republic of Ireland.
Widespread reports state that the move is being considered as part of a review of the bank which is putting the future of 2,500 workers, and 88 branches at risk.

Two of those branches are in Ennis and in Shannon.
Any wind-down of the bank’s operations, if one were to occur, would likely take a number of years.
