A travel expert claims most of the routes running into Dublin Airport wouldn’t even be remotely economically viable at Shannon.
It follows suggestions from Clare TD Cathal Crowe that if one of the Dublin to Amsterdam Schipol services was transferred to Shannon every week, that it would be transformative for the region.

At present 85% of all Irish aviation traffic is handled at Dublin, while little over 5% was facilitated at Shannon.
