The Taoiseach is to meet with Aer Lingus staff based in Shannon Airport this week.
It comes after Government intervention on Friday evening saw the airline reverse plans to temporarily lay off 160 members of staff at Cork Airport – in a deal which will see staff there kept on at 50 percent pay under the Wage Subsidy Scheme.

Aer Lingus indicated their intention to permanently close their Shannon base in May, with Micheal Martin to meet affected workers in the Midwest in the next number of days.
