Sweeping changes to parking bye-laws in a West Clare tourism hotspot will come into effect this September.
From September 1st, pay-and-display parking will apply all-year-round in Kilkee, while a designated area for camper vans will be established, and campers will be allowed to stay for a maximum period of 24 hours.
The measures have been approved by elected members of the West Clare Municipal District following a public consultation period during which four submissions were received.
West Clare MD Transportation Department Administrative Officer Liam O’Connor says the changes have come about following dialogue between the council, elected representatives and members of the public.
