A state of emergency has been declared after violence broke out in the US city of Baltimore, following the funeral of a black man who died in police custody.

Shops have been looted and cars torched, while authorities have now drafted in the National Guard and imposed a week-long curfew.
Freddie Gray died last month after suffering spinal injuries.
