The CEO of St. Francis Credit Union is calling for an “interactive approach” to be taken to the issue of mobile phones in school.
A new survey carried out by the Irish League of Credit Unions has found that 84% of parents would support a blanket ban on the use of mobile phones in schools.
The findings reveal that 62% of children own a mobile phone while parents said their child was an average of ten years and seven months when they got their first phone.
