Gardaí in Clare are warning people to be on the lookout for skimming devices when withdrawing cash or making payments.
Skimming devices are a small electronic device placed over legitimate card readers at ATM’s or at shop terminals in order to steal data from your cards magnetic strip.

It follows an incident last Thursday during which a person’s bank card was skimmed.
Gardaí are advising people to inspect ATM machines before use and to cover your pin.
