The Mayor of Boyle in Co. Roscommon says the entire community is in shock after the death of a local man in South America.
28 year old Martin Beirne – who’s originally from Boyle – died in the Venezuelan capital Caracas on Wednesday.

Its reported that bags of cocaine which he’d ingested burst inside his stomach.
Two other Irish men, reportedly from Galway- who were travelling with Mr Beirne are due in court in Caracas – charged with drug trafficking offences.
