Shannon businesses say the increase in flights from Shannon Airports this summer represents a key opportunity for increased trade.
It comes after Aer Arann’s announcement last week that it’s to establish a connection with Rennes in France, as well as increasing the frequency of flights to Edinburgh under the Aer Lingus regional banner.

Shannon Chamber of Commerce says it’s now key that business and public interest groups come together to market the Mid-West to key players in these markets.
The chamber’s chief executive Helen Downes says those efforts are already underway.
