Separate garda investigations are underway after two caravans in west and north Clare were targeted by thieves.
In the first incident, a caravan based at Fanore Caravan Park was broken into, sometime between 9pm and 7am in the early hours of last Tuesday, May 12th.
Nothing was taken.
A considerable number of electrical and other items were taken in a second incident at Spanish Point on the same day.
Sergeant Edel Burke from Kilrush Garda Station says “Gardaí in Miltown Malbay are investigating a burglary at Spanish Point Caravan Park last Tuesday, May 12th between 11.30pm and 6am.
“The homeowner discovered the mobile home and shed at the rear of the property broken into.
“The following items were taken here; a Fridge freezer, a Phillips Tv, a Kettle, a Socket extension lead, a 32” Walker tv, a Hammer and saw and screwdriver.”
Sergeant Burke is appealing to anyone with information on this burglary, or who have been offered these items for sale to Contact Miltown Malbay or Ennistymon Gardai on 065 707 2180.
