Separate Garda investigations are underway following two assaults in the East and West of the county.
The incidents happened on Thursday last week and on Sunday.
Emergency services were alerted at around 7pm last Thursday after a middle aged man was assaulted at the bottom of Francis Street in Kilrush, near the marina.
It’s understood he was assaulted by another man who arrived in the area by car before being driven from the scene shortly afterwards.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the assault, or who may have information on the incident to contact Kilrush Garda Station on 065 908 0550.
Separately, in Killaloe, one person in their twenties was injured after a man threw a glass bottle which shattered, with a shard of glass cutting a person nearby.
The incident happened at the Two Mile Gate around 6pm on Sunday evening.
It’s understood the man left the scene in a car and Gardaí are urging anyone who ay have seen the car or noted its licence plate to contact them at Killaloe Garda Station on 061 620 540.
