An Ennis economist says those earning €30,000 a year have “got nothing” out of the Budget.
From January 1st, the minimum wage will increase to just under €15 an hour, while those paying the higher rate of tax are set to benefit from an additional €750 a year.

Associate Professor of Social Policy at UCD, Micheál Collins, says most people, including those on social welfare, will benefit from a €10-a-week increase.
However, the Ennis native says those earning between €25,000 and €40,000 will not benefit in the same way.
