Saint Vincent de Paul in Clare is expecting a very busy January, saying it can be the most difficult time of year for families.
The charity expects poverty levels to get worse this year, and predicts that it will field more calls for help in 2018 than last year’s figure.

It’s being put down to crippling rents forcing families into situations where they need help to get by.
