Nurses say there has been a reduction in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital today.
The latest figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show, however, that University Hospital Limerick remains one of the busiest in the country once again.

There were 89 admitted patients waiting for a bed at the Dooradoyle facility during morning rounds, with 69 of those being accommodated in overflow areas of wards.
It comes on a week when HSE Mid West has warned of high attendances and has appealed to patients to consider all care options before attending the Emergency Department at UHL.
