Further details of St Patrick’s day celebrations across Clare are being unveiled.
Parades, music and family entertainment are lined up in Bunratty, Fanore and Sixmilebridge.
A vibrant day of Irish culture, music and family is promised at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park this coming Sunday.
Families can look forward to a dancing leprechaun disco, shamrock face painting and curious characters throughout the Folk Park, including the talented balloon twister and Finegas the Druid, who will be recounting Irish fables and legends.
In Fanore on Sunday, a special tribute will be paid to the founder of the parade over twenty years ago, Kevin McCormack, who passed away in 2025.
The parade gets underway from 2pm at Fanore beach and will make its way towards the viewing stand outside Donoghue’s Pub, where there will be circus performers and a monster raffle.
Organiser Anne Pilkington says there will be plenty family fun on the day.
Meanwhile, the Sixmilebridge parade will be headed up by nine grand marshals from the Pat Brady Mullins Irish Dancers, who are soon to travel to Chicago for the world Championship.
It gets underway at 12.45pm from the Mount Ivers Housing Estate and will feature local businesses, the scouts, the Order of Malta, local GAA and soccer clubs, the Tidy Towns committee, horses and wagon, vintage motorbikes, tractors and cars.
This year’s theme is “Big Dreams Bright Futures,” as one of the organisers PJ Ryan explains.
