Power has been restored to all but 160 homes in Clare as the damage caused by Storm Eleanor is repaired.
Around 500 households in total were affected by issues caused by lightening overnight in areas including Cratloe, Barefield, Corofin, Ennis, Broadford, Spanish Point and Miltown Malbay.

ESB crews have been working since early this morning to bring the network back online.
Just 160 households in Ruan are still affected – and ESB’s Clare Area Manager Robert Grimes says it’ll all be back by 5.30 at the latest:
