Plans have been lodged for a new housing estate in South Clare.
Ahaclare LTD is seeking to build 38 new homes in Sixmilebridge.
The developer is planning to build a mix of 20 three-bed and 18 four-bed homes in Clare’s fastest growing town, where the population exceeded 2,800 for the first time in Census 2022.
The development is proposed for a 1.8 hectare site in Sixmilebridge between the R471 and Rossmanagher Road.
Ahaclare LTD has also indicated its intention to enter into a Part V planning process with the council meaning up to seven of the units could become social or affordable homes.
Clare County Council and An Coimisúin Pleanála previously refused plans for a 38 unit development on the same site citing ecological concerns.
The local authority is due to make a decision on the new application on October 2nd, with submissions being accepted until September 9th.
