Palestinian Human Rights Organisation Rep Visiting Clare Accuses Irish Government Of “Performative” Support

A representative from a Palestinian human rights organisation visiting Clare this week has accused the Irish Government of “performative” support for the country.

Advocacy manager of BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights, Lubnah Shomali, will speak at an event at the West County Hotel in Ennis this Wednesday, May 13th, at 7:30pm.

The meeting will mark the 78th anniversary of the Palestinian Nakba when over 700,000 people were displaced from their homes as part of the creation of the Israeli State.

Lubnah claims nothing Ireland has done so far has had a direct effect on the lives of Palestinians.
