Shannon Airport has announced a new Ryanair service to Milan Bergamo which will operate from next year.
The service will commence on 28th March 2027, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Located in one of Europe’s most popular regions for both leisure and business travellers, Milan Bergamo provides convenient access to Milan, the Italian Lakes and the wider Lombardy area.
The route is expected to generate an estimated 25,000 additional seats as part of Shannon Airport’s Summer 2027 programme, supporting inbound tourism and regional economic activity while giving customers even greater travel choice.
Welcoming the announcement, Ray O’Driscoll, CEO of The Shannon Airport Group, said: “Ryanair’s decision to introduce Milan Bergamo is another strong vote of confidence in Shannon Airport and the growing demand for international travel across our region. Coming on the back of our strongest route programme in 17 years, this new service further strengthens our European network and reinforces Shannon’s position as a key gateway for the West of Ireland.
“The addition of Milan Bergamo not only provides greater choice for passengers, but also creates new opportunities to grow inbound tourism, business travel and economic links between Ireland and one of Europe’s most important regions. We look forward to working with Ryanair to build on this momentum.”
