Over €240,000 in funding has been confirmed for 11 community centres in Clare.
The Jimmy Slattery Community Pavilion in Shannon, Mike McTigue Community Centre in Kilnamona and Sixmilebridge GAA Club Community Hall have each been granted €25,000.

While Cnoc Na Gaoithe in Tulla, Halla Eoin in Kilbaha, Community Halls in Doonbeg,Kilmurry and Lissycasey, Community Centres in Crusheen and Quin and the Killaloe-Ballina Family Resource Centre have all been awarded sums ranging from over €16,000 to over €24,000.
Clare Fianna Fáil Minister of State Timmy Dooley is hopeful the investments will futureproof facilities for years to come.
