2,364 Families in Clare are set to benefit from an enhanced back to school allowance.
It comes as the scheme has been extended to children aged two and three years old.

Families will automatically receive payments in July and it’s estimated that nationally, 37,000 additional children will qualify for supports.
The rate of payment for 2026 is €160 for children aged two to 11 and €285 for children aged 12 years and over in second-level education.
