Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital has spiraled once again.
The latest analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation shows there were 110 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 39 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 32 more than the combined total of all ten hospitals in the East of the country today.
Trolley numbers at Galway University Hospital; the second busiest facility in the country today, have climbed to 67.
