The next 24 hours should have a major bearing on when 2,000 households in Clare will have their water supply returned.
A “Do Not Drink” notice has been in effect on the Inagh Kilmaley Group Water Scheme for a month now, following the detection of raised levels of turbidity and aluminium in the supply.
The issue arose thanks to a problem with the water treatment works and tests have been ongoing in recent weeks with a view to finding a solution.
EPS, the firm tasked with rectifying the problem, says it will be reverting with potential options tomorrow.
Manager of the scheme Noel Carmody has been telling Clare FM’s James Mulhall that it’s important residents sit tight until more emerges tomorrow.
