The Anti-Austerity Alliance is changing its name to “Solidarity” and widening its campaign focus.
It says while austerity isn’t gone, things have moved on and it wants to ensure everyone gets a share of the recovery.

The Alliance says a big space is opening up on the left in Irish politics and it thinks it can make a real difference for women, workers and young people.
Its Cork North Central TD Mick Barry says it will continue to work closely with its colleagues in People Before Profit.
