New face for Local Elections

Fine Gael has announced a high profile figure to the party’s ticket to contest the forthcoming Ennis Town Council Election.

 

Mary Howard, daughter of the late Senator Michael Howard joins sitting councillors Johnny Flynn and Mary Coote-Ryan, along with Roger Fox in the nine seater electoral area.

Her nomination by party leader Enda Kenny was facilitated after another Fine Gael candidate Tony Mulqueen stepped down as a candidate for the town council to run instead for a seat on Clare County Council in the Ennis West Electoral Area.

 

Canvassing for the elections will get underway in earnest in the coming weeks and Mary Howard believes the retention of services at Ennis General is a key area that needs to be addressed
