Tony Mulcahy has come up short in his aim to regain a seat in Seanad Éireann.
He previously served on the Labour Panel in the upper house of the Oireachtas from 2011 to 2016 and acted as Fine Gael’s spokesperson on Communications, Energy and Natural Resources before losing his seat.
